There were several black cased models officially called either
"PowerBook G3" or "PowerBook G3 Series" by Apple. It's pretty
messy as you point out. The 333MHz model was code named "Lombard"
and is new enough to be a newworld architecture, while the
Wallstreet models were all oldworld. This is the reason for
all the extra steps. Debian natively supports yours, but not
the model in the original message. The OpenFirmware version
in the Wallstreet doesn't support yaboot.
