I'm not sure exactly what your symptoms are, your description isn't very
precise... Are things working properly in console mode (not X) at all ?
Unfortunately, all I can suggest at this point is for you to try to go
down the kernel versions (including -rc releases) to try to isolate more
precisely when it broke so we can find what's up.
