Has anyone had any luck (recently) with either a 802.11g PCMCIA/CardBus
or USB dongle? The problem that I keep running into is people find one
that works but then the manufacturers release a different version with
the same FCC ID etc.. and thus doesn't work.

D-Link DWL-AG650 (hardware v.B2) - purchased 20 Feb 2005
Cardbus, a/b/g
http://madwifiwiki.thewebhost.de/wiki/DLinkDWLAG650
is working with madwifi CVS drivers (I grabbed the new CVS 03 Apr 2005).

All hardware versions of this card appear to be working.
In general a/b/g cards seem to be a safe choice since the majority use the Atheros chipsets supported by madwifi.

Powerbook5,4 1.25GHz, 2.6.11-rc5.
Works between sleep/wakeup cycles too...
