However, I checked - & while 2.6.15-rc5-mm1 fails as above, 2.6.15-rc5
succeeds
The only change to via-pmu.c in Andrew's patch is part of
git-powerpc.patch - I guess this is maybe the offending section - or
related to it? -

This problem has persisted for me for a couple versions of -mm - please
advise what I can do to better identify the problem - or where I should
more appropriately send a bug report
