Bug#320471: man-db 2.4.3-1 truncating man pages?
Package: man-db
Version: 2.4.3-1
Severity: normal
Hi
Some man pages can not be read in full length: This happened in an
xterm and on console: man pbbuttonsd.conf can be seen in full length
when opened by root, whereas the same page can be seen only in parts
when opened by a non-root user.
Sometimes man curl can't be read in full length either by root (on console) or a
non-root user (on X and console), and it can be read in full by su- root in an xterm, but not
by a non-root user in an xterm ...
While writing this message I downgraded man-db from 2.4.3-1 to
2.4.2-23, and the problem seems to be solved:
aptitude install man-db=2.4.2-23
Thanks for listening.
Best Regards
Wolfgang
