ivtv driver on PowerPC

Hi all,

I picked up a Hauppauge card and have been trying to get it working,
via the ivtv driver...

I compiled a 2.4.31 kernel with i2c and bttv support, and got ivtv
compiled and loaded. My /proc/modules looks like:

    ivtv 84096 0
    msp3400 17988 1
    i2c-algo-bit 8460 1 [ivtv]
    i2c-dev 4644 0 (unused)
    tuner 10140 1
    videodev 7848 4 [ivtv]

I made sure my XF86Config-4 file had the "v4l" module loaded, so the
output of xdpyinfo shows XFree86-DGA. However, if I run xawtv, I get:

This is xawtv-3.94, running on Linux/ppc (2.4.31)
/dev/video0 [v4l2]: no overlay support
v4l-conf had some trouble, trying to continue anyway
ioctl:
VIDIOC_ENUM_FMT(index=0;type=VIDEO_CAPTURE;flags=0;description="";pixelformat=0x00000000
[....]): Inappropriate ioctl for device
    Warning: Cannot convert string
"-*-ledfixed-medium-r-*--39-*-*-*-c-*-*-*" to type FontStruct
ioctl: VIDIOC_S_CTRL(id=9963777;value=-565101040): Invalid argument
v4l2: read: Interrupted system call
v4l2: read: Input/output error

Does anyone have any idea where I've gone off-course ?

cheers
vinai
