Hi,
I just tried to compile a 2.6.12-rc2 with your both paths. Patching does
not make any problem.

  CC arch/ppc/platforms/pmac_cpufreq.o
arch/ppc/platforms/pmac_cpufreq.c:489: error: unknown field `suspend'
specified in initializer
arch/ppc/platforms/pmac_cpufreq.c:489: attention : initialisation d'un
type pointeur incompatible
arch/ppc/platforms/pmac_cpufreq.c:491: error: `CPUFREQ_PM_NO_WARN'
undeclared here (not in a function)
arch/ppc/platforms/pmac_cpufreq.c:491: error: un élément de
l'initialisation n'est pas une constante
arch/ppc/platforms/pmac_cpufreq.c:491: error: (near initialization for
`pmac_cpufreq_driver.flags')
