which kernel should I download?

hi!

I am new here, recently got an old ibook from an ex-colleague because
she 'could not use word in it' (sigh, but at the same time very happy
with the ibook).

So after some hesitations, I finally decided to give it a go (I do not
even have an mac os 9 install cd just in case) I downloaded the woody
ppc iso and with the online handbook close to it I have installed it and
everything is working fine. In the meantime I have upgraded from woody
to testing and am able to run kde 3.2.2, which is nice for a computer
with only 96mb ram.

Anyway, my original question. As you have probably guessed by now, I am
really new to this hardware. I can see this:

natxete@apple:~$ cat /proc/cpuinfo
cpu : 740/750
temperature : 46-48 C (uncalibrated)
clock : 299MHz
revision : 131.0 (pvr 0008 8300)
bogomips : 598.01
machine : PowerBook2,1
motherboard : PowerBook2,1 MacRISC Power Macintosh
L2 cache : 512K unified
memory : 96MB
pmac-generation : NewWorld

but am not really sure which of the kernel-images to use for the 2.6.*
series. I see this stuff with apt-cache search kernel-image (among other
things):

kernel-image-2.6.5-g5 - Linux kernel image for 2.6.5-g5
kernel-image-2.6.5-g5-smp - Linux kernel image for 2.6.5-g5-smp
kernel-image-2.6.5-power3 - Linux kernel image for 2.6.5-power3
kernel-image-2.6.5-power3-smp - Linux kernel image for 2.6.5-power3-smp
kernel-image-2.6.5-power4 - Linux kernel image for 2.6.5-power4
kernel-image-2.6.5-power4-smp - Linux kernel image for 2.6.5-power4-smp
kernel-image-2.6.5-powerpc - Linux kernel image for 2.6.5-powerpc
kernel-image-2.6.5-powerpc-smp - Linux kernel image for
2.6.5-powerpc-smp
kernel-image-2.6.6-g5 - Linux kernel image for 2.6.6-g5
kernel-image-2.6.6-g5-smp - Linux kernel image for 2.6.6-g5-smp
kernel-image-2.6.6-power3 - Linux kernel image for 2.6.6-power3
kernel-image-2.6.6-power3-smp - Linux kernel image for 2.6.6-power3-smp
kernel-image-2.6.6-power4 - Linux kernel image for 2.6.6-power4
kernel-image-2.6.6-power4-smp - Linux kernel image for 2.6.6-power4-smp
kernel-image-2.6.6-powerpc - Linux kernel image for 2.6.6-powerpc
kernel-image-2.6.6-powerpc-smp - Linux kernel image for
2.6.6-powerpc-smp

Obviously, only one cpu so the *smp ones are discarded, as are the g5
and power4 (I think).

My uname -a:

natxete@apple:~$ uname -a
Linux apple 2.4.18-newpmac #1 Thu Mar 14 22:44:49 EST 2002 ppc GNU/Linux

Thanking you in advance for your help,

N.Asenjo
