No. It may be possible to make it working if we could figure out
what is the "low frequency" setting programmed in the PMU. Note
that another possible reason for the CPU getting hotter is the
change of the kernel preemption frequency from 100HZ to 1000HZ,
you can revert it back by editing include/asm/param.h
