I gave it a try, but it didn't boot. I installed as usual,
then I reconfigurd yaboot.conf and I executed ybin.

The only message that I got was:
    ELF kernel loaded...

The machine that I tested has woody installed with modutils 2.4.26
backported and only with a console (append="console=ttyS0,9600")

# cat /proc/cpuinfo
processor : 0
cpu : Power3 (630+)
clock : 333MHz
revision : 1.4 (pvr 0041 0104)
bogomips : 665.19

total bogomips : 665.19
machine : CHRP IBM,7044-170

I installed:
kernel-image-2.4.25-power3-chrp-rs6k_2.4.25-2_powerpc.deb
kernel-modules-2.4.25-power3_2.4.25-2_powerpc.deb

I got a "Unresolved symbols" for one module.
/lib/modules/2.4.25-power3/kernel/drivers/sound/kahlua.o
