Existing partitions not fond

Hi all,

for a none comprehensible reason I can't mount any partitions on my
pb. The kernel is found but root not mounted.

-1
Booted installdisk with d-i.
partitioned the old swap as ext3 and mounted to / didn`t work.

-2
Booted GenToo live cd
mac-fdisk /dev/hda shows all my partitions but mounting one of them
to /mnt/whatever shows:
mount: special device /dev/hda4 does not exist
Writing the partitiontable with mac-fdisk ends up the same:(((
pmac-fdisk prints out an empty disk with no partitions :(

Any hints?
