It's a bit complicated. You need to press and hold Alt and Ctrl, then
press and also hold Fn, then finally press F2 on top of all that. For
a long-time Mac user, that's an easy exercise, what with all the PRAM
zapping and OF entering and all that.

Yes it can. Just add a line initrd=/initrd.img to /etc/yaboot.conf
and re-run ybin. And make sure you actually create that initrd image,
of course.
