The problem with that, is that if you boot from the SMS menus, or use the default list
by pressing 5 (RS-232) or F5 (graphics), there is no way to include kernel parameters.
Could this be fixed by changing the setting in the config file from:
CONFIG_DEVFS_FS=y
# CONFIG_DEVFS_MOUNT is not set
to:
CONFIG_DEVFS_FS=y
CONFIG_DEVFS_MOUNT=y
