I just upgraded the ram on my system from 512MB to 1024MB and the system when running in linux does not detect all the ram on the system. OS X recognizes that two 512 MB PC133 SDRAM chips are installed. dmesg shows this: Total memory = 768MB; using 2048kB for hash table (at c0600000) Linux version 2.6.4 (satadru@satmac) (gcc version 3.3.3 (Debian 20040306)) #1 Thu Mar 11 12:08:24 EST 2004 Do I need to compile my kernel with HighMem support?
