Doesn't pbbuttonsd itself write out the configuration file? Everything
else looks broken. Pbbuttonsd is run as root and pbbuttonsd.conf can
stay writeable only for root then.
Powerprefs should only use the shm-interface to change pbbuttonsd's
settings settings.
That this still somewhat circumvents system security is another
matter...
