External monitor powerbook

I know this has been discussed, recently. I read this thread:

  http://lists.debian.org/debian-powerpc/2004/debian-powerpc-200401/msg00111.html

but I
now I am thouroughly confused, and I can't get anything working. I have
a working accelerated XFree86 under 2.4 using a modified version of this :
  http://www.cattlegrid.net/~christophe/titanium/XF86Config-4
I changed the Modelines for my older titanium which has a resolution of
1152x768. My ATI chipset declares itself to be an ATI Rage Mobility M3 AGP

I have tried modifiying this config (from recent thread) for my
resolution:
  http://bobcat.edgewall.com/~jonas/powerbook/XF86Config-4

I have tried kernel 2.4 and 2.6.0-test11, with framebuffers and without,
with radeonfb complied in, loaded as a module, not loaded, I can't
figure out the combination I need to get this to work.

I have tried only with the xserver-xfree86-dri-trunk package.

Below is a bit of a compliation of the types of errors I am getting, as
soon as someone points me in the right direction, perhaps the errors
will be more meaningful,

Thanks in advance,
