From your dmesg (Uniform CD-ROM driver Revision: 3.12), it seems that
in fact, ide-cd takes control of your CDROM drive before ide-scsi has
a change to do that. So, forget all what I have said, your CD ROM
should be at hdc. Does "eject /dev/hdc" works ?
