I personally usually use rsync instead of bkbits, you can find a little bit of 
usefull stuff on the kernel at http://penguinppc.org/dev/kernel.shtml (adding 
() to separate period@endofsentance :).  Depending on your machine's age/
hardware you might want to use the benh tree, which most people around here 
usually recommend because of Ben's extensive work on ppc drivers and such.

Of course, you could always just apt-get the kernel .deb, but that's not as 
much fun. :^)
