SDA is a 6,4gb HD with 12594960 sectors .... (with 6449mb size as shown in dmesg)

but when i run pdisk or try to format it using disk initializer via MacOS , they detect this 6,4gb hard disk as a 6,1gb hard disk , what can it be?

here goes a output of pdisk running:
-----
[root@Carlos root]# pdisk /dev/sda
Edit /dev/sda -
Command (? for help): p

Partition map (with 512 byte blocks) on '/dev/sda'
#: type name length base ( size )
1: Apple_partition_map Apple 63 @ 1 2: Apple_Free Extra 12594895 @ 64 ( 6.0G)

Device block size=512, Number of Blocks=12594959 (6.0G)
DeviceType=0x0, DeviceId=0x0

can someone help me ?
