Re: stability problems with CONFIG_HIGHMEM
This might be a problem with your RAM. I've been using CONFIG_HIGHMEM
for several kernel releases now (in fact, it was THE reason I went from
the 2.2 series to the 2.4 series) and have had no stability issues with
1G of RAM (machine is an Old World 8500, G3/375 MHz CPU). Been using
this option since ~ 2.4.16 and am currently at 2.4.21 ...
Is there a RAM tester for non x86 architectures ?
cheers
