Hey Stew.

Na, it's got nothing to with dist-upgrade or upgrade. It works fine
under 2.4.21-ben2-xfs (my current kernel). It only fails to work with
2.6.0-test5 (benh bitkeeper tree). It's a wierd one.

I'm finding it difficult to locate errors because /var/log/dmesg is
broken too!!! (The first time I've ever seen that in the last 5 years
I've used Linux!). It can't be a new kernel thing, because I'm running
2.6.0-test4 on my K62-400.

Also, I found it wierd that booting 2.6.0-test5 in single user mode, i
did a depmod and it tells me QM_MODULES isn't configured. Maybe that's
because my packages are old. I'll upgrade them now and check again.
