I don't know how to make it work on all mac's but I know another method. You may use mkisofs to bless the boot folder. An example on how to do this you can see on my d-i page at http://www.soziologie.ch/users/steinlin/d-i/#bootcdHello,I used a script derived from http://cvs.debian.org/boot-floppies/powerpc-specials/mini-iso.shto make my knoppix MiB ppc bootable.Unfortunately, the CD seems not to be bootable on the powerbook 12", and maybe on other machines? What is the way to make a cd bootable on all Mac?
AFAIK cd booting only works for newworld powermacs/books. There is no way to make it work on oldworld without proprietary software. (IIRC there was a discussion about this sometime ago on this list.)
If the only problem is that the folder containing yaboot is not blessed correctly (something like marking it bootable), then you can also try to load yaboot from Open Firmware by entering the correct path.
