You have to edit the file /etc/apt/sources.list
Where you have this:
deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian/ stable main non-free contrib
replace 'stable' with 'testing' or 'unstable', like this
deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian/ unstable main non-free contribhh
Do this in all the lines you have on that file
