A: There are 2 things to check:
1) at least a 2.4.18-rc2-benh kernel.
2) that the permissions on /dev/fb0 and /dev/pmu make it
readable and
writable for the users that want to use acme.
Something like:
chmod 666 /dev/pmu
should fix it
