The deborphan package is useful for finding packages, especially
libraries, that can be removed because nothing depends on them.  I
usually use "deborphan --guess-all".  It's an iterative process:
after you remove some, run it again because there may be more that are
now no longer needed.

But deborphan won't tell you that you don't need some application
package like tuxracer or g++.  You'll have to look over the output of
"dpkg -l" and decide that yourself.
