Cannot compile -ben9 kernel

Hi, I did the standard

rsync -avz rsync.penguinppc.org::linux-2.4-benh /usr/src/benh-kernel

but the kernel won't compile. I keep getting the following error message

cp: cannot stat `arch/ppc/boot/images/vmlinux.coff': No such file or directory

I'm trying to compile with `make-kpkg --revision an.1 kernel-image'

Can somebody please help me?
