easy fix: do this to /etc/apt/apt.conf (create the file if necessary):

APT::Cache-Limit 12582912;

increase the value if needed. usually means the list (sources.list) is too large, 
but add that, and re-do your apt-get update && dselect update, and all
should be well.



UNIX is user friendly, it's just picky about who its friends are.
