I'm a double switcher (from Yellow Dog and then from Gentoo)...

So far, I really like Debian. One thing that puzzle me though is sound... I installed gnome 2 and it complains that /dev/audio/mixer is missing (other apps complain that /dev/mixer) is missing.

I did a whole bunch of google search but coudn't find any answer to this one. I suspect I only have to make a ln -s to something but I don't know what...

Anybody can help me there?

P.S.: Pismo 500, with 2.4.20-benh custom kernel (yes, ppc sound is compiled in)
