	A you using /dev/input/mice as the mouse device? I'm using
	that and I don't use gpm (since the computer I have is much
	faster with X than with the framebuffer anyway).

	I am also using the 2nd and 3rd mouse button emulation via the
	keyboard (but this shouldn't matter with the error you're
	getting).
