Yes, but accessing the cd works fine _after_ the hard disk has been found,
i've only to remember to take the cd out when booting and cannot run the
installer from cd with the error explained above.
The problem iss still there in more rescent kernel versons,
at the moment I'm using 2.4.19-pre4-ben0 with the same problems,
by the way - sound does not work with the install kernel, but with the
kernel I use....
