It seems that the base keymap I was using didn't define anything for
<Cmd>. Switching to the mac-usb-us keymap as Chris Tillman suggested
solved the problem.

In addition to the default keymap, I modify the behavior of some keys,
e.g. the function keys to get accented characters (useful in French).
