You should enable CONFIG_TUN in your kernel config if you want to use
tun networking with MOL.
As for sheep, I can access stuff from a terminal with it, but not from
GUI apps it seems. Don't know where the problem lies, there are messages
from lookupd (DNSAgent: dns_send_query_server - timeout for xx.xx.xx.xx)
in the console log.

In case you haven't understood Christian's revelation, this happened to
me with libgnomevfs2-common 2.0.4-1; holding it back to 2.0.2-7.1 works
here.
