You have a few options:

- The link

    http://www.debian.org/CD/

gives somes idea of how to go about downloading CD images, or buying
  them.

- Failing that,

    http://www.linuxiso.org

has Debian 3.0 images. I did get 2.2r5 disks from that site and those
worked well for me, but I haven't tried the 3.0 disks.

- If you have enough bandwidth to download a CD image, you might want to
check the debian installation manual at:

    http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/powerpc/install.en.html

Section 4 tells about the various installation methods, and you should
be able to download a few relatively small files, boot with those and
do an FTP- or HTTP-based installation. Last week, I was able to use
a ramdisk and kernel to install 3.0 on my 8500 via the network install
method. The one problem I did have was the kernel supplied with the
installer did not work on my 8500. I recompiled a kernel from my old
installation to do the Woody install, but it went pretty smoothly
  after that.
