External monitor on iBook wobbles

Hi all,

When I connect an external monitor to my iBook and run BenH's m3mirror
program, I get a screen which seems to have a screwy hsync.

I've search through Goole groups on this and have seen posts from
people descibing the problem but I can't find a solution. 

Is there one?
