Partimage CD boots on my PowerMac while Debian don't
hi
if you really look for bootcd i dont have a solution for you.
but i installed today succesfully a debian-ppc3.0 (but without XFree86
at the moment) also on b&w G3 (wallstreet). if you got not a bad
networkconnection, just download bootx and linux.bin and ramdisk.gz!
then you boot into the installer-wizard and get the base-system over
ftp. it works perfectly and you have the newest version if you upgrade
the dist.
here is the link to the installation-manual.
4.4.1 Hard Disk Installer Booting for OldWorld Macs
http://www.debian.org/releases/testing/powerpc/ch-install-methods.en.html#s-boot-drive-files
because i asume you live in switzerland try the sunsite.cnlab-switch.ch
debian-mirror. up to 270kb/second.
its just another answer to your question, maybe you know all this, maybe
its helpfull.
