I've been having a strange problem since I installed debian (woody) on
my G4 a few weeks ago. Now and then (several times a day), I'll
single-click on something, and it's as if I've double-clicked.
It happens in all programs. Here's a small sampling of all the things
that happen because of this:
1) sometimes in Mozilla, I'll click "reply" or "compose",
and two message windows will appear.
2) sometimes I'll click on a tool in Gimp, and the "tool
options" window will appear, as if I had double-clicked.
3) sometimes I'll click on a word in an editor, and
instead of placing an insertion point where I click,
it selects the entire word
4) It even happens with my fluxbox menu (things open twice
sometimes), which I find especially strange, since that
menu disappears when you select something.
Has anyone else seen this behavior? I'd say it's the mouse, except for
the fact that it happens in the fluxbox menu, and the fact that it
doesn't happen in either of my MacOSes.
