Help - problem after installing a new kernel

I've installed Ben's kernel <http://master.penguinppc.org/~benh/>
created with make-kpkg and installed with dpkg as indicated in the
FAQ, but the keyboard doesn't work and I can't use it at all. How
can I use the previous kernel?
