Yeah, but doesn't DRI need a whole lot more?  You can run X at 1024x768
at 24/32, but not w/ DRI.  1024x768@16 w/ DRI is a go tho.  Last I tried
anyhow. :)

heh.  So it's moot anyhow.  Can the original poster try doing it at 16
bit?
