problem with kernel-package build of kernel 2.4

Hi, I have been trying to compile a 2.4 kernel for my iMac using kernel-package.
The build works fine but the package assembly fails with:

mkdir -p pcmcia; \
find kernel -path '*/pcmcia/*' -name '*.o' | xargs -i -r ln -sf ../{} pcmcia
if [ -r System.map ]; then /sbin/depmod -ae -F System.map -b
/home/dkortsch/kernel-building/kernel-source-2.4.8/debian/tmp-image -r 2.4.8; fi
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/dkortsch/kernel-building/kernel-source-2.4.8'
cp vmlinux debian/tmp-image/boot/vmlinux-2.4.8
chmod 644 debian/tmp-image/boot/vmlinux-2.4.8
cp arch/ppc/coffboot/vmlinux.coff debian/tmp-image/boot/vmlinux.coff-2.4.8
cp: arch/ppc/coffboot/vmlinux.coff: No such file or directory
make[1]: *** [kernel-image-deb] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/dkortsch/kernel-building/kernel-source-2.4.8'
make: *** [stamp-buildpackage] Error 2

I can't find anything about coffboot to explain what is going wrong. can someone
help me out here?

thanks
Dan Kortschak
