Ok, I lied, but it shouldn't matter.  I actually did:

apt-get source openmotif
cd openmotif-2.1.30
dpkg-buildpackage -rfakeroot

I really don't know anything about motif, but that DefaultGcc2PpcOpt
looks pretty bogus, and is the cause for the error you're getting.

I am running unstable, btw.  The openmotif source package version is
2.1.30-5
