bootup hang on MVME2604

	 I have MVME2604 with 761 IO board.
When I try to begin installation from the
Debian GNU/Linux 2.2 r3 "Potato" - Official powerpc Binary-1 CD
kernel is loading but after a while I got this mesage:

scsi : 1 host.
scsi : aborting command due to timeout : pid 0, scsi 0, channel 0, id 0,
lun 0 Test Unit Ready 00 00 00 00 00
ncr53c8xx_abort: pid=0 serial_number=1 serial_number_at_timeout=1

and the system stops.
I've already tried to play with "ncr53c8xx=..." options.
Exactly the same thing happens when I try to boot from image
located in:
dists/woody/main/disks-powerpc/3.0.7-2001-07-11/prep/bootfull.bin

However I've got kernel from:
ftp://linux-rep.fnal.gov/pub/vmestuff/zImage-bpa
(this is 2.2.9 kernel) and this one works, but of course fails to mount
root filestystem. Unfortunatley I don't have any floppy drive.

I would be gratefull if someone could send me an boot image for prep
architecture with that kernel.
