It works, if you consider not actually sharing the shared object is
working. =)  On that other architecture, when a non-PIC shared object
is loaded, the relocs are fixed in-place, i.e., the fixups are written
to read-only pages that are normally shared between processes.
Suddenly, you have code pages that a) just got paged in from disk,
b) aren't shared, and c) have to be written to swap instead of just
dropped and reread from the fs.
