This referred to Alan Mimms' fixes for Apple OpenFirmware 1.0.5.
These fixes go in nvramrc.  However, OpenFirmware does not use
nvramrc unless you set the variable use-nvramrc? to true, for
example by doing

nvsetenv use-nvramrc? "true"

This solves Andrew's problem, which I also had.
