You are in luck :)

I know a URL that steps you through this (I have it working on a Beige
G3 - not much help). When I'm in the office tomorrow I'll forward the
PowerBook URL to you. It's quite good.

If you want to play while you wait, use:

dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xfree86

to reconfigure XF86Config-4 for you automatically.
