Stock 2.4.x kernel source is BROKEN for PPC, and has been broken for ages.
Don't use it. Get the source from one of the rsync mirrors of the PPC
kernel tree (see penguinppc.org or some other PPC web site for URLs).

This is a FAQ (as in: answered at least once a week in any of the relevant
MLs, and not funny anymore).
