Virtual desktops are a window manager feature. Most current window managers
support them.
If you mean virtual resolutions bigger than the physical one, that's no
problem with r128. The virtual resolution is taken from the mode with the
biggest physical resoluzion, or you can set it explicitly like with 3.3.x .
