 I adjusted all the settings and restored the original permissions.
 Then this message:

> The kernel does not recognize /dev/fd0 as a block device.

 I then recompiled the kernel with 

 Block devices -> Normal PC floppy disk support

 At boot time, the /dev/hdc and /dev/fd0 collide, and ... crash!!!
