OK, I almost suspected that. Thanks for the information and the
images, however it still does not work.
Booting your disk with the command above nicely boots the kernel,
but then I get a message like
request_module[block-major-15]: Root fs not mounted
VFS: Cannot open root device 0f:d0
Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 0f:d0
Rebooting in 180 seconds...
This still leaves me somehow clueless :-(.
Maybe it is a problem of the floppy controller? This claims
to be a SWIM3.
