Generally the prebuilt should work, but you know Murphy, don't you?  In
my case it didn't detect the ethercard which made the machine pretty useless.

There are a bunch of packages (~300 irrc) that are not compilable on
our powerpc machines.  Hartmut maintainer a list.  These need work.  For
the regular stuff we have some auto-compiler running.

The second - but very important - issue covers the boot-floppies for
PowerPC.
