Hi,

there may be some confusion as for media types, the Debian menu is not
involved. Currently, the Policy §9.7 details how to place files in mailcap
format in /usr/lib/mime/packages/. I would like to keep this as a possibility
until we are sure that we can rely solely on FreeDesktop menu entries.

I will test (later... but others are welcome to try and report) how far the
mime-support package can do the transition for the default mailcap entries that
it ships, and I will add a section in the next Developers News to suggest to
others to try the migration.

Cheers,
